try learning a few jazz chords like 7th's 9th's 11ths and 13ths..as well as some altered chords

maybe sus and add chords too there is a great chord that jimi hendrix used called a flatted ninth i think... i cant remember...

but jazz is the way to go if your looking to expand your chord knowledge, and it helps with understanding chord construction too
