Any sociologists/psychologists in the house! Any opinions, preferably actual knowledge of this subject? Any experiments been done where a person was raised completely without music and the effects it had on him/her?

Reason is, songs keep playing in my head from time to time, perhaps, several times a day, for no apparent reason whatsoever. Can only assume to calm the primoridal, savage beast within me/us! Any professional, knowledge of the subject, please?
