    2. "Resistance" – 5:46
    3. "Undisclosed Desires" – 3:56
    4. "United States of Eurasia (+Collateral Damage)" – 5:47
    5. "Guiding Light" – 4:13
    6. "Unnatural Selection" – 6:54
    7. "MK Ultra" – 4:06
    8. "I Belong to You (+Mon cœur s'ouvre * ta voix)" – 5:38
    9. "Exogenesis: Symphony Part 1 (Overture)" – 4:18
    10. "Exogenesis: Symphony Part 2 (Cross-Pollination)" – 3:56
    11. "Exogenesis: Symphony Part 3 (Redemption)" – 4:37

overall, while this is not their best album, i believe this album contains some of Muse's best work. the symphonic elements are mixed in flawlessly. Bellamy displays beautiful range, while Wolstenholme's slap bass and backing vocals tie the sound together very nicely. you can definitely hear some Queen influence in there as well, especially in "United States of Eurasia" The three part symphony at the end is absolutley brilliant.

bottom line: this album will please Muse fans, but still doesn't beat the experimentation and awesome riffing in Origin of Symmetry. to me, this is there second best album, behind OoS.

I heard this album a couple of weeks ago, but I don't have it yet.
    So, thanks for posting it
I particularly find Resistance (the song) powerful, and vocally good.
United States of Eurasia was also one of the highlights of the album for me.

Great review, I had to make sure someone already put one up before I did so myself :P Agree with the queen influence, its the first thing that came to my mind when i heard that song. I find this to be their most politically bashing album. I know Black Holes and Revelations had Exo-Politics, and maybe I am missing a few, or maybe a ton of other political songs by them, but The Resistance is packed full of them. Imo, it's my current fav album, but i swing between it and Black holes.

I love this album. I normally gravitate towards heavier music but this is an amazing album. I can hear so many different bands when listening to The Resistance. I hear Queen, U2, Led Zepplin, and believe it or not System of a Down. The slower Exogenesis tracks are not something I really like but five stars for the rest of the tracks. I also like the meaning behind the lyrics in many of the songs. Almost an intellectual feel to them. Don't hesitate and download now!

Muse stood up to expectations... It's a little bit... You know... Common new rock music... But has some unique things... Especially Uprising is awesome... This put is their best album -maybe seconds best after Black Holes And Revelations...

I thought the album was pretty well done. But honestly imo the pre-chorus in Resistance reminds me of something that would come out of Grease.

Ah, yes. I like Muse a great deal. They're talented; I won't lie.
I'd say that 'Absolution' is the best album of theirs. 'Resistance' is good, but after gaining lots of popularity from the Twilight franchise, their music became very poppy, for lack of a better word. And it shows on 'Resistance.'

i really love i belong to you.........has almost a bluesy undertone, and although im not the biggest fan of blues on earth, i really like how it was arranged. i was walking through target one day, when i walked past a display that had this album. i ALMOST passed it up. almost. but i snatched it and i can honestly say i am glad i did.

I'm not mad on this album...(does that make sense or is my irish phrasing confusing?)

I LOVE MUSE. But I found 'The Resistance' lacking.

I like 'Undisclosed Desires", but I still don't consider it very 'musey'.

I am a massive Muse fan! In my view, The Resistance does not beat Origins of Symmetry. It shows great musicianship though, but I feel that their music is missing a bit of the raw energy that came through in their first albums. Loved Showbiz for that. I have seen them live several times over the years, and they still put on an incredible show too. But in album format, I am finding that the tracks didnt grab me as immediately as previous ones. Still one of my favourite albums in my collection though!
