Motley Crue - Saint's Of Los Angelos

This album was surprisingly good. I was expecting them to try to cross over and sound like evey other band out there today, but I was wrong. This album is very similar to their old stuff with some new flash. The biggest difference from the 80's stuff which this was modeled after is the Parental Advisory that comes with the album. They don't over use cuss words, but as a fan of cuss words myself, I'm glad to hear them in a band that should have been saying them in their songs a long time ago. The guitars are a little bit heavier than that of the 80's (less treble, more bass), but they sound pretty good. That kick drum that tommy uses on this record will blow a sub-woofer all to hell. And Vince Neil's vocals were good but they leave me wondering how much effects were put in their when they made the CD..... From songs 1-7 it is great. At the end it starts to fade a little bit, but those songs are still pretty good. My three favorite songs are Down At The Whiskey, Saint's of Los Angelos, and Mother ****er Of The Year. Overall, great album for the time period it was released in and it is a definate must have for any fan of the CRUE!
