I think Moondog qualifies as minimalistic but I could be wrong.

noak, what exactly is minimalistic music? is it ambient experimental?
I have no idea, but I know Moondogs music is considered minimalistic. And most of his music is repetetive beating on drums and poems and stuff. Not all of it of course, there are some beatiful classical esque stuff too.

man, that moon dog reminds me of like elevator/thinking music.
I can't imagine what demographics of one of their concerts would be.
It's just one guy, and he played his stuff on street corners in New York dressed as a viking. He played percussion instruments he invented himself. He was also blind.
that's a trip. I must say I do like it.
I have a bunch of Dark Ambient music that is very minimalist and some of it is very creepy. Not for the Weak Minded our old friend Siskin described it.
Sounds pretty cool, been a while since I was creeped out by music.
It is positively scary Noak,,,I won't listen to it at night...lol.
so dark and creepy = minimalistic music = drone music = space music. how fascinating!

The stuff I have dear is positively beyond anything in my experience, makes black metal sound like nursery rhymes...lol.
