anyone else dig them?
Enlighten me! Tell me about them, give me some video links?
Magic
Okay Magic, I just listened to Faust IV, I loved the title of the 2nd track, Song for a sad Skinhead,,,lol,,,and I'm not kidding. Really different stuff, I don't think you being a mellow girl would like this style of experimental music, but you have surprised me before. I will have to listen to it a couple more times to really get a feel for this band, but I like this album so far.![]()

If you dig the more experimental **** on it, you should go for The Faust Tapes.
I don't mind a bit of Wakes Nosferatu now and then, but, of course, their magnum opus is Derbe Respect, Alder, because Dälek makes it better than anything they could do on their own.
Well yeh, Dalek did a good job with that, but c'mon. I think their best songs are Meadow Meal, Why Don You Eat Carrots and Jennifer.
But for anyone getting into them, the albums, not the individual songs are the focus.
Yeh, those 6 minutes are a big reason why I think their next 3 and several of their later albums scaled greater heights.
I dig them alot actually, the best "krautrock" band in my humble opinion. The first three albums are great experimental music. IV is their most accessible, but still a far cry away from what most other artists were attempting at the time, and it may well be their best release.
Their 2010 album "Faust Is Last" was also very good although it was actually Irmler's version of Faust.
I also like their collabs with Tony Conrad. The repetitive bass and drums work well with Conrad's violin drones.
Who makes the nazis?
Love 'em, though these days I much prefer Peron's Faust to Irmler's. Peron's incarnation are excellent live, incidentally.
