Deep Purple
Deep Purple are my favorite band. Got into them in the summer of 1972.
What's amazing about Deep Purple is the consistent quality of music over the decades.
Rainbow? I like them, but never enough to buy the albums. I own a great 2 CD set and that's more than enough for me.

Honestly never really got into Rainbow much, but Deep Purple are one of the greatest bands of all time.
