Cool Are you in a band?

Are you in a band? If so, where does your band rehearse? If applicable, how much do you pay? Lastly, what city and state do you live in? The info you give will contribute to making the world a better place. Thank you, I appreciate your input.

I am currently in a rock cover band in Aiken, South Carolina. We play at least every other weekend at local clubs and bars. I play sax and keys. We don't practice all that much, we just learn new songs every now and then.

I play with in a band, we are currently residing in an undisclosed region in central florida, although we only ever really played in North Ideeho (or washington which is close enough). We practice in a warehouse and sometimes in our living room.

Bands come and go like the wind, most bands I have had last about 2 to 3 years. And most bands break up because 1 or 2 members get a new job or move on in life.
As far as how much to practice, really depends on how good your band members are. .....a band with top super star performers can get away with practicing once every 2 weeks together, but since they are pro's they most likely practice 4 to 5 hours a day on thier own also. And then when they get together they don't practice, they just play because they already know what they are going to do and they play as in a concert. Now if you're a group of average musicians then you may want to get together 2 times a week. If your a good advanced group maybe 1 time a week. But remember the more advanced players really know thier stuff, and they practice for hours everyday, at a high quality level.
So when all is said and done, practicing as a group really depends on how good you are.If you're a begining band, maybe 3 times a week, because you need those other days to maintain your own skills on guitar and to learn more advanced guitar playing techinques to become better
