Default Bass Amplifiers

I'm looking to buy an amp. However i'm a little unsure on which one to buy. I'm thinking maybe a fender rumble 100...

What do you suggest?

What amps to you use?

The fender Rumble's are a great choice.

What will you be using it for? Small gigs? Practice? Private use?

Some other good choices are:

Behringer bass amps - They cost about $200-$400, and a lot of people are happy with them.

Peavy MAX 115 - Its a great multi-purpose amp for about $250, it is VERY loud, and cuts over most anything.

Hope it helps

My girlfriend is a drummer so i'll probably be playing along with her for a while. Possibly with a rhythm guitarist as well. High chance i won't be doing small gigs.

Thanks, I'll do some research.

Hartke all the way....... If you want a pro set-up

Get a Hartke with 500 Watts and get a cab with 8 10's in it and you won't be touched!!!

But that costs a lot of money, so if not, get a fender with at least 100 watts and at least 2 10's and you should be fine... That's all my bassist uses and he is plenty loud

If you have a drummer and rhythm guitarist. And your just jamming I would say go with the Peavy MAX 115. But it all comes down to personal preference.

Hartke and Ampeg models can pack it up all for you.For me they are the best sounding bass amp for me.Most professionals use them and also mostly on recording studios.

Hartke will make you complete as a bass player. The good thing about those amps is the sensitivity especially the contour knob,no need for a bass limiter.
