Quarterflash
Very few probably heard of this group and those who are old enough to remember probably forgot. I am sure you will recognize their single though
Just one more vinyl album I recalled that I dont have anymore since I lost all of my old records.
I kinda liked this band in the 80s. Basically a husband and wife team , Rindy and Marv Ross, put out their first Album "Quarterflash" in 1981. The song "Harden my Heart" reached number 3 on the top 100 and they sold over 1 million copies. Rindy has a great voice and I like the addition of the saxaphone which is also played by Rindy.
They fit in well with the Heart / Pat Benatar crowd
That was pretty much it after that. They put out 2 more albums up to 1985 then disbanded
Marv and Rindy released a cd in 2008 called Goodbye Uncle Buzz which I have not heard
I couldnt find a version of the actual music video I could embed so this will have to do
Heres a live version with Rindy playing sax. I really like the song but I think as a band live , they lack stage presence and just dont seem energetic .
Oh well , I still like the song
This is another single off their first album
