Default Classical music?

On a very bored (and intoxicated) day me and a few friends were flipping through the radio, after our regular stations failed, we went through the whole dial and the best thing that was on was classical music. We actually liked what we listened to, one song sounded like Zakk Wylde on violin and one song sounded like Metallica tried to write a song using only piano. The question is, what are some good songs or artists, nothing like moonlight sonata (if thats even a song at all lol) but something faster and upbeat

Hello Ryan, I'm glad to see you branching out and giving classical a chance, it has something for everyone no matter what you are looking for. Here are some lively pieces that I really enjoy.

Stravinksy - The Rite of Spring
Respighii - The Pines of Rome(Try and find one with organ accompaniment)
Berlioz - Symphony Fantastique
Bartok - Music for Celestra and the Concerto for Orchestra
Tchaikovsky - The 1812 Overture
Moussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition(Usually it's bundled with A Night on Bald Mountain)

There are a few of my personal favorites that I have in my library.

Classical music as anything that "lasts a long time, classical or music that has certain instruments like violins, which are also found in bluegrass music, Broadway music, and other genres; or "relaxing" or "background" music for affluent people, descriptions which are probably only accurate when describing court music from the Baroque and Classical periods.

Check out Death and the maiden by Shubert. Only violins (and other sorts I recon, such as cello) I really like it. ;-)
