Thumbs up Favorite Composer?

Name some of you favorite composers, from any period of classical music.

Here are some of mine, no particular order.

1) Ludwig van Beethoven
2) Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky
3) Dimitri Shostakovich
4) Franz Lizst
5) Robert Schumann

I only have two pieces from Schubert in my classical collection, his 9th Symphony, and the Death and the Maiden quartet that you recommended to me Oblivion. I like him but never got around to gathering a lot of his compositions.

I really like his compositions, but it has more to do with love at first sight then knowing a lot of his works, and the works of others..
It's just one of the first classical compositions I really listened to (death and the maiden)and I love it still...
