...knowledgable in sound issues? So I got this mixer finally and I usually just play out of the aux. of my stereo because i'm also broke but anyways... I hook up everything (turntables) into the phono inputs of ze mixa and everythings good to go then i start playing and its like zzznnng zznnng znnng and i can't hear anything! The trim knobs are almost all the way up and it should sound normal but it only sounds fairly normal when they're all the way down which is defeating the purpose of them. So I try different combinations of the stereo up and down and the volume control on the mixer but nothing sounds good. On the back of it (the mixer) there are the unbalanced rca pluggies (that i'm using) and some balanced xlr ones that i don't have cables for. I don't know if i should get some monitors to bumb that **** cause i saw some sweet ones with rca and xlr input i could experiment with.. or if i need to get rid of the mixer cause its defective.
