I'm really just looking for anything that experiments with beats and any classic(al) instrument. But it has to actually work and sound good, like Bjork songs such as Joga.

I find there are a few good tracks on Lucia Micarelli's Album (Music from a farther room) ...she's an amazing violinist. i think you can hear samples of her music on her website.

try some suff from "Apocalyptica", there's a lot of violin in there music not too much electric tho.

maybe some "Death in Vegas", "chemical brothers" (but only a few of their songs are like that, sorry cant think of any names), band called Massive Attack (there kinda eh, not really the genre ur looking for, but maybe a little bit of wht u might like)

yellowcards album "lights and sounds" has a lot of violin in it, obviously not electric tho... lol.

chk out some Moby (especially the song 'Extreme Ways'), and ofcourse you can dowmload some trance/ techno music, has both kind of sounds..

"Carmina Burana" Apocalyptica, its a remix of Beethoven i think pretty sweet....
