it is very difficult to say with certainty where 'english' begins (when it stops being anglo-saxon); and just as problematic to be dogmatic about what makes a lyric (as opposed to a devotional) poem.
i think one would have to take orm's ormulum seriously as a contender.
but the strongest candidate would probably be 'summer is icumen in'.
