Default Mauvais sort

This band is from Quebec and I have no clue on how known they are... There is no wiki page about them so I recon they aren't very famous
I got to see them live in a pub where I go often (the singer of the band is on a friend status with the owner of the pub...) and I loved them from the first song.

This being the first song they sang:

It's the only good quality song I found by them on youtube. But as you can hear as second vocals, they also have a female singer... she doesn't always do second vocals wich is a nice change from time to time.
They only sing in French though (if you could still call it french For those who know a few words of french, you'll have to get used to the dialect..)

There are 3 albums that I know off. Koru (image above) being the last one and best one. If you are interested I could upload them? (LG: I only have one on cd, so I only have one in HQ)

I know this isn't much to go by... But if you like folk, you'll like these guys !
That's a promise.
Alternativly you could check out Last.fm (Mauvais sort)
and myspace: myspace.com/mauvaissort

I don't have the time to upload them now, but I will sunday, if ppl are interested !

I find it ironic that my good beer drinking friend from Belgium discovers a band from Quebec, sees them perform in a pub while he is doing research into which beer goes with which song and then writes a thread about them, which I then read and discover this band for the first time, and I live in Canada...

Nice thread OB, I'll take whatever you want to post of course, the best album, but I don't want you to squander your band-with unnecessarily so it is up to you.

I'll re-listen to them all and pick one. If you then really really like the band I'll upload all 3 of them. Be warned: 2 chances out of 3 that it is 128 kbs ! If you really prefer higher quality, I'll upload that one !

Most interesting - never heard of Mauvais sort, they look like a fun folk band though! Yeah doesn't worry be what the Language is, though I guess that would pose a problem if it's the kind of song you have to know the words to. But to me it simply sounded like a let have some Fun kind of song!

If you want to check out Folk Metal CP/M, then Mago de Oz is a really good band, they sing in Spanish but I was very impressed with their music.

I like discovering new music, even if I don't speak the language.

Uploading as we speak

Also plans on doing a Belgian Folk topic and a Metal Folk topic The Metal Folk topic will be filled in no time... Since it is the only metal I still listen to.
