I'm going to have to say something by Zappa, but for the life of me I couldn't tell you what the recording was. Something live and from the middle of his career.

i've heard Zappa puts on good shows, but i have yet to hear a guitar solo.

I've heard some long solo from Joe Perry(Aerosmith).But i can say one of the longest solo I've heard is from the band Rush.

Well This has not happened yet. But muse said in interviews they wanted to do a 15 minuets space guitar solo for there upcoming album. We Will have to wait to the release to find out.

if they were to do that, i will be surprised as to how they could possibly pull something off like that. they do have the talent and ability to do it, im just gonna be surprised when it does happen.
