Van Halen has a lot of songs that pump me up, but the bassist alone really brings it up to speed with his solos. Honestly, i have never heard a good bass solo until i heard the solo he put on, it was on one of the live DVD's that i've seen.

Yeah I know what you mean. Obviously Eddie is no slouch himself on the guitar.

wow what a random discussion this has led to. anyway. I think that if a song has some heavy bass or has very creative lyrics than it should be qualified as a music that pumps me up. it sure as hell doesn't do anything else.

Wow, I saw a lot of concerts in the 80's. I was just sitting here thinking about which one was the best. It would be Iron maiden on the World Slavery Tour or Ozzy on the Bark at the Moon tour.

I was listening to Deep Purple Machine Head yesterday and that whole album definitely PUMPS ME UP!!...

1. Highway Star
2. Maybe I'm a Leo
3. Pictures of Home
4. Never Before
5. Smoke on the Water
6. Lazy
7. Space Truckin'

Recorded in 1972 and still kickin' butt.
