So you stand by your previous statement with the exception of a few banal, derivative artists that somehow stand out to you.

Most overrated at this very moment in time,,,Hannah Montana, and The Jonas Brothers, they represent the worst pre-packaged manufactured product the recording industry can come up with. All hype and no substance,,,in five years nobody will likely remember anything they ever recorded. I hate these kind of bands with a passion, they take away resources that should go to real artists that have talent and need the support.

It's always been like that, probably always will be, maybe you should do something about it instead of *****ing on online forums. Really, we all know any serious music fans dislikes those groups. Overrated they are not.

I admit dream theater is good for their genre, but really geddy lee's voice is not nearly as ****ing annoying then the singer to Dream Theater's is. Don't get me wrong I wish every day of my life that I could shred such as most prog metal bands can but seriously. Rush is and always will be a very influential band, with out them prog metal might not have never came about. Beatles OVER RATED, good music but extremely over rated, Jimi Hendrix ok. I am appalled to see the pixies anywhere on that list. If you have ever been a fan of any substance i.e. not alcohol you will love the pixies. But Nirvana should and always will be the most over rated band of all time. Anyone can stand up on stage and play 3 chord songs. Several bands have done it long before Nirvana ever came to our air waves and made our ears bleed.

Most overrated band, there are a few out there for sure, how about the Rolling Stones. They were a great band up until the early 80's and now simply do tour after tour just for the money, I can't remember the last really good album they did. Oasis,,,I never understood the plaudits these guys received, not a great band by any yardstick besides album sales, and Liam is an overbearing snob who doesn't know when to shut it. Another one, Queen, I like 3 of their albums and yet some people go crazy when I tell them I thought they were just average for most of their career. They put on a great live show, and that will always be their claim to fame. There you go MeMyMine, 3 bands that are heavyweights in the music world that I think are overrated.
