Thanks for the info Reznor 4 President, I never really followed Nirvana and only read about Cobains death when it happened and just assumed it was another case of celebrity excess. Still not a big Nirvana fan though.

I always enjoy nirvana, but have to be in the mood for it :-)
Anyway, could you explain why you think that the beatles are overrated??
for example, Tokio Hotel: in my opinion, they s*ck... Bigtime..
BUT! If people (young ppl, but ppl nontheless) enjoy what they do, and how they do it, then they must be doing something right..
Hence, they aren't overrated.. :-)

Can isn't the type of band to give a passing listen to and discard.

That is my feeling exactly MMM, some of my favorite albums are the ones I played at least half a dozen times before I realized how good they were. I always try a give any new album a proper test before it gets archived.

that can be a true statement at certain extents. if its an album by a band you recently just got into, maybe that will come into affect. Who's to say that it's an album that you've love since you were a youngin, would you still have to go through the album half a dozen times? in all honesty im not saying you're wrong Grendel, im just expanding your thoughts, getting you to think a little more.

Obviously Under I was referring to a new album/CD you have bought and play it the first time and it doesn't really grab your attention. It has to be pretty generic for me to lose patience after one or two listens. And as for the albums that I have from 30 years ago, some of them I still play on a regular basis and the majority of those are the one's that I took the time to listen to a few times before I could make up my mind about them.
