i dont like tokio hotel either.i dont mind hearing the singers voice,if i were stuck listining to them while i shop somewhere.But if i had to choose,then i wouldn't.As of nirvana,i like them,but i have heard them on the radio enough.Bless kurts dead heart,im sure he didn't want his music to be overplayed on the radio. |

I like the Beatles. I thought they were very creative in there writting and different musical directions. I definately do not think they were overated.
Okay, bands I think are overated is Nirvana, Rush,Scorpians,AC/DC, and The Greatful Dead.
I like Nirvana but I certainly don't think they're groundbreaking.

these bands are all good musicians, but they are all way too stuck and big in the media. that makes them over-rated. being played too much and such.

It is a fine line that most bands have to walk, they start out hoping that they get successful and many people like what they play, and then the commercial side of things takes over and the music they created is used for everything from radio to TV advertising. I have to admit it was a shock to my senses when the first Cadillac commercial featuring a Led Zeppelin song was released. Back in the day Zep would never have imagined their music being used to sell cars.

You know KissAndPeck, I only own one U2 CD, their very first one "Boy", I really like the way Edge plays guitar but overall I never understood the hype surrounding U2, maybe the lack of other heavyweight competition in the rock genre made them seem bigger and more important than they really were. So I agree, overrated.

How would you say muse is overrated. They have loads of talent.
I think they are underrated. They have a band member who can sing. They put effort into there music and they sound good live.
