Okay wait a minute... U2 definitely WERE all amateur musicians that got a shot back in the day because they were MTV friendly and Irish. Adam Clayton admittedly learned to play on tour. But that was over 20 years ago... True, they have songs that are wayoverrated... A Beautiful Day is a perfect example. Bono himself admits it... But with a song like that, they've covered the gamut. From commercial bubble gum garbage to some really amazing songs like Bad and Running to Stand Still just to name two off the top of my head. More recently, Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own.

EVERYONE was an amateur at one time. If you don't like Bono's voice I can certainly respect that. But don't penalize someone for making the most of good fortune, and ultimately rising to the hype...

Well U2 are ok but they have no chance when is talking about STING
I can say that STING is the best

I love Nirvana but they're unoriginal and inconsistent. Not to mention they created a fad that produced many of the ****tiest bands ever.
