I agree with that list, with the major exception of Nirvana at number 1. They are not overrated at all. They got the right amount of respect and popularity as a result of their music. Did Cobain's death make them more legendary? Possibly, but you can't deny their influence and the quality of some of their songs. They don't belong on a list like this.

I think Nirvana (the whole band) influenced plenty of other artists... sure the bass player did only what he had to do - keep in time - but come on; Dave Grohl was(is) one hell of a great musician..
Just because the songs are simple etc... does not make them no good. The Ramones, *** Pistols, Green Day- 3 chord songs life changing effects.

i was a jr high kid growing up in seattle when nirvana started to get radio play. let me tell you.. they were huge... if you didnt own a tape....(wow im old)... you were a dork... i dont think they should be on the over rated list... they had more than one big hit... they had a cult following.... and they were talented.. how is that over rated...
