haha mexicans? that made me laugh.

But yes, the social aspect of it was pretty much wiped when facebook came along, so it seems. I only use it for music anyway.

Yeah, myspace should be based on music anyway. Facebook should be focused on social interaction.

Myspace and Facebook are a waste of time.

Ya gotta respect the bands that spend a few bucks, get their own domain, and hosting.

The way I see it is:

"If a band isn't willing to invest in themselves, why the hell would anybody else want to?"

Well some bands use myspace as a starting domain for promotion until they have the money to make a website.

If anything, myspace does help out with artists who are starting out.

I see a major difference in time put into it. You not only have to respond to several hundred idiots at a time, i mean family. LOL But you also have to upload cool new videos and songs and photos and tell everyone what menial task or detail is going on at all hours of the day. plus adding links to all of your other cool accounts and twittering and blah blah blah. Its just neverending. Yes i'm old in my ways, thanks for listening.

Ya, I agree....but at the same time my domain/hosting is $189/year, paid by the month. (Bell Canada Hosting) professional design/template access included.

If you can't raise $15.75/month...you're just an idiot. - haha

I suppose I was referencing whether there is a difference of wasting time on those sites or a music forum. Is a music forum where we all just bullshit around not a waste of time? Its a better waste of time , but nonetheless.

That is true. And going off that, if you can't raise that much money a month, than you probably have no reason being on myspace for music anyway

Unless for some reason, they're really good, but aren't making any money.

Idk, I guess it can go both ways.

Well i see it as more work i guess j. I don't have 155 friends on here, and i don;t have to upload pics every other day, and add videos and songs and talk to my fifth cousin who just got married to the man of her dreams who looks like art garfunkel.

    As well...Identity is everything.

    For example: IMO

    myspace.com/myband

    vs

    myband.com

is huge in the way people position you.
