There is nothing wrong with that either. I say just do whatever makes you happy. Whatever floats your boat.

But why should what you wear dictate what type of music you listen too and vice versa? If you look at past bands and I don't mean you have to look back like 50 years but even to the 90's.. Henry Rollins performs in gym shorts... that's all. Paige Hamilton from Helmet rocks out in a tee and jeans. So many bands that have made history in the music industry don't give a **** about fashion. Even some of your fav bands that have a "look" about them DO NOT dress that way everyday so why do the clothes make the music? Simply put... they don't. Only stresses my point even more.... It's all about the music.

You don't. But i think if it makes people happy wearing the clothes to fit into a music scene, then its their choice. I don't do it, i wear whatever takes my fancy on the day, but if makes people happy, or feel accepted and find common grounds with other people doing it then it's not necessarily a bad thing. I just encourage people to wear what they want.

Very much true Damo but all the little fashionista twits take it upon themselves to judge people by they're clothing and then you're labeled a poser, or not punk enough or metal enough etc. Then they have the gall to call themselves "Music Elitists" when in fact they only bands they like are MCR and such. Eww, and Ugh.

Thumbs up good point Damo

I agree Damo.I wear what I want when i go out.its all about being comfortable and wear the things you love. Like i wear band shirts and all black.I get called emo when i try to look my best.my style is kinda goth/punk.And i dislike it when others call me emo cuz i wear all black.i am who i am.i wear mcr shirts cuz there my fav band, not cuz of the "social" scene.

That i don't agree with. That annoys me up the wall. People shouldn't judge on clothing. It happens to me, but on a different level. I live in a lower socio economic area with a bad reputation. Once you say from there, usually straight away, their opinion changes. I think it's just how society is. And the amount of stereotypical people, its crazy.

Edit: Shouldn't
