Thread: Battle of the Boy Bands

So the only one right on this list: 5 Best Boy Bands Of All Time - Randy Jackson Next is The Jackson 5.

As far as Boy Bands go I think Randy Jackson may have lost it...where's Menudo? Where's Boys II Men and yeah yeah I know there are a lot of better bands out there like the Rolling Stones and such, but I think we all had our time where we were singing I Want It That Way, but the whole point here is that list is wack and with that said I wanted to see who would you list as your top boy bands?

Also can you count ones like The Monkees or The Beetles as boy bands? I mean they were Boy Bands, but they have way more respect in the music community than say NSync....meh I don't know why i get caught up in these arguments, but it's music history and it does fascinate me.

When you can spell the Beatles correctly i might take you serious.

The only reason I know the Monkees actually is because they had the song I'm a Believer and I think the first time I saw it was in a movie about them. Funny how the recording industry works they take the best talent then twist it into a money making machine, which in turn makes you wonder about today's artists...seriously do any of them sing without auto tune anymore...well besides Adele pretty sure that's her singing, which in case she probably deserves all the hype.

i don't think you can call boyz II men a "boy band"

they were more of an R+B/soul type group, whose music was a thousand times better than that bubble gum pop **** that nsync and the backstreet boys made infamous

Makes sense I loved Boys II Men, but I guess the definition for Boy Bands is a group of guys who sing pop music? Or maybe everyone just determines it there own way? Anyway at least we can all agree that NSync and Backstreet were all Boy Bands and let's never speak of the other horrible early millenium Boy Bands that existed aka LFO (Really?) and O-Town - ick hard to believe anyone could do it worse, but they did.
