Hello Irishkid welcome to the forum, we have quite a few musicians in here who are better qualified than I am to answer your question, but I think it is very difficult to first recruit people for a band and then keep them together for any length of time without them killing each other. It is like a family and when you get it right, eg. Rush, ACDC then you can establish yourself for decades.

yea I guess it would be very hard to keep the team together, but i think people should give it a go more often! you never know what might happen

I think it's a result of the creative energy that all musicians have in themselves, as long as they feel like an equal member of the band things work rather well, however when one or two members start taking over and using only their concepts/songs that is usually the beginning of the end of that incarnation of the band.

Yea, i guess thats correct, we have seen it 2 often!!!
and i do think its time for some real bands to start up!!!!

Believe it or not I think Guitar Hero etc. are going to help start a new wave of new bands in a few years. It is so cool to hear the young kids playing the classic rock and roll that I grew up with and this can only produce more people that want to play in a real band of their own.
