Not my favorite brand of metal so no to be honest I have never heard of them before. Cannibal Corpse, Meshuggah, Slipknot, Lamb of God, etc., but Carcass no.

my favourite live-DVD is defnitely the ones from the Eagles 'Farewell 1 Tour - Live from Melbourne' .. for one part because the eagles really are my favourite band and i get goosebumps everytime i watch it.. but for the other part because there are very very few (probably none) live-DVDs out there that can compete in terms of visual direction and sound/picture quality (even today, 3 years after the release)

for me the DVD was my first really crossing with that band.. of course, i listened to hotel california on the radio a few times, thought it was 'ok' music, nothing more.. but watching the DVD, I really got infected, and now i own most of their studio-albums..

Yeah that's the way it works you find one album/video you like and the next thing you know you've acquired most of the bands discography. For me the 3rd vinyl album I bought was Eagles Greatest Hits, back in the 70's when it came out, I never did get all of their studio albums, but I wasn't nearly as big a fan after Joe Walsh joined, they definitely changed quite a lot after that.

You are right, but I grew up with the classic Eagles sound and Joe Walsh who I liked when he was in the James Gang and his solo work joined and they had a harder edge, like you said not bad just different. You've piqued my curiosity now so I'll check out the DVD and get back to you after I've seen it.
