Well, probably either Primus or Weather Report. Not that they had anything else going for them.

In terms of good music, Eric Dolphy's band circa 1964. Mingus, ah um.

Iron Maiden...
hmm, the only bass i like from them is in the songs "2 Minutes to Midnight" and "For The Greater Good of God" otherwise, i like Rush better. so i see why you would put both Rush AND Iron Maiden up, i still think Rush has more bass talent though.

Oh most definatly, I just love how maiden's bassist does the galloping triplets and almost outclasses the speed of the guitar. But Geddy Lee's melodic passages on songs like 2112 are amazing.
