My Christmas present was a new guitar.![]()
Luckily I got to go to a few guitar shops and play a few and I came cross a Fender Sonoran SCE California series Acoustic-Eletric guitar. Had everything I was looking for actually, and It plays really nicely. Got it, with a new set of strings (DR Rares, compressed) and a glass slider for just under $400. It was a great deal really. It did not come with a case (Which I lucked up because that is exactly what my girlfriend got me for Christmas.)
It has a solid spruce tops, back and sides are mahogany.
The neck and head are a solid piece of maple.
The fretboard is rosewood.
It has a dreadnought body style.
A white triple ply vintage-inspired pickguard. (That looks gorgeous against the black body.)
Fishman Isys III System with Active On-Board Pre-Amp and Tuner.
I just love this guitar. It's really great. The strings sit at a perfect height. The sound is so rich and full. Really glad I got it.
This is not my picture, just one off the net.
I'll have to take some pictures or videos next band practice I have to show you guys.
