i think it might be the pick ups. iam not sure.and i think it was made in the 80s..its an aria pro 2 origianal series. the pickups have rust on them. and when i strum theirs a slight delay until it makes the sound.

maybe you should change the pickups, i think you should take the guitar to a guitar store like guitar center or sam ash and ask them about it and see if they can help you fix the problem, if not get a new guitar.
