...barre chords on an acoustic guitar? I've been playing for about 2 months. I feel as though I've come along nicely and things haven't been too difficult. I can play most of the major, minor, and 7th chords. The only thing I can't seem to get down are the barre chords. I know the fingering of them, I just can't get my index finger to strongly hold down the strings necessary. I'm hoping this is a major hurdle for most beginner guitarist out there. Much like when I finally was able to go from a G to D without looking, I'm hoping that playing barre chords will come to me as well. Any tips from all you veteran guitarist out there would sure mean a lot to this beginner. Thanks, and ROCK ON!!

i play bass myself,but barre chords can be tricky,espec on acoustic,its just a case of practise practise practise,it will come ot you in time,theres no easy fix,its all about practise till you are confident
