get a chord book - go to a music store , buy a digital tuner (40.00) go home and learn your basic primary chords , E,F,G,D,Bm,Am,Em,Dm,D7,B7.after you have learned those chords to where they sound clear and you can change pretty quickly it is time to go take a few lessons, know what you want to learn. and have a few song choices to be taught.after that you are on your own. practice at least 20 min. a day.if you want it bad enough you will learn . (tip) after playing put your finger tips in alcohol that will dry them out and make callus on your cording fingers. good luck - all it takes is practice
