Im surprised you guys havent heard of him, I would throw Bright Eyes in the same bucket. Im not necessarily comparing them, but they are in the same "realm", if you know what I mean.

So meaning I dont mind Iron & Wine, but nothing special for me. Although this song I really dig:

So far from what i've heard, I really like it. Its very "easy listening" and I can enjoy the guitar work as well.

im still relatively new to Indie music, Ive been a pretty big metal head for as long as i can remember so ive been really expanding my horizons with music lately.

I like it though. Nothing immediately amazing to me though.

Haha yup, metalhead here and indie was a way for me as well to expand on the horizons. But honestly, metal has soooo many sub-genres, you can actually expand your horizons within metal. Thats what I do. If Im getting bored or something, ill check out some other genres. Its crazy how long ive been into metal yet I keep finding bands Ive never heard of.

I love Iron and Wine! It's really good folk.

If you guys like him, try DM Stith or early Sufjan Stevens.
