wondering what age group most likes indie & alternative rock music. what age are the people going to the shows and buying the cds? what cities in the USA (and the world) are best for emerging indie/alternative rock bands?
Young adult (18-28). theres an Indie radio station here in Cali. and they play good indie music, and absolutely no teeny music (FOB, MCR, etc.). So, young adults are more likely to listen to indie.
Well, I see allot of indie concerts about 12-25 a year. Depending on the band the average age is around 26.
The Faint - Very young crowd 15-22
The National - Late 20's -Early 30's
Mojave 3 - Early 30's
Sigur Ros- Late 20's
Wilco - Late 20's - Early 30's
Voxtrot - Late 20's
The Hold Steady - Late 20's
Most indie concerts in Detroit see draw College age to early 30's .
