Default Alternative Metal Bands?

Can you guys list a couple. I'm not interested in any screaming metal bands you cant understand. Somewhere around Three days grace and Breaking Benjamin is what i like. Thanks in advance.

If you like Breaking Benjamin, check out Sevendust.

Also, many people consider grunge to be alternative metal, which is understandable. My favorite grunge band is Soundgarden.

A few people have said there is no such thing as 'alternative metal', I don't know about that, I hate all the stupid sub-genres we have today.

Back in the 90's some bands like Alice In Chains and Soundgarden were considered 'alternative metal', those bands also received other labels like grunge. I think the term alternative metal actually works pretty well for Soundgarden, especially their Badmotorfinger album.
