Just because Cobain likes to pretend he's The Pixies doesn't make him good. Frankly, he should've shot himself sooner.

I assume you aren't a Nirvana fan then Ozymandias, I thought Cobain was just another celebrity basket case, but other people have enlightened me. Cobain suffered from a medical condition and his depression that led to his tragic end was a combination of things. I'm not a huge Nirvana fan, but I still would have liked to see Cobain contribute some more music before he died.

He made crap music and wasn't even innovative about making crap music; grunge was dead before Nirvana even came along.

Considering most grunge fans think the best most influential band was Nirvana and Cobain himself loved the Pixies I think you are just looking for an argument. If you are genuine in your opinion that is fine, but you won't change my mind with your tactics, I still feel the same way after reading your post as I did before.

Admittedly, Cobain liked decent music. I'm not sure that has anything to do with him being good at music, however. That is, if he was trying to imitate the Jesus Lizard and the Meat Puppets, he pretty damn well failed at it. And I find that Melvins were far more influential about grunge than Nirvana ever was.

If you want your opinion changed, go listen to some music. I'm just here to be an ass about my tastes.
