A lot of black americans claim this and it is true to a degree. Don't listen to them though. They only know half of the story and then say it's the whole story. They're being racist and ignorant.

Because music was very subtle and African Americans added more flavor, more rhythm.

This goes back to slavery, slaves would sing spiritual songs to actually get motivated

If you notice all music that is motivational was caused by some political suppression.
