Ancient humans began using drums for accompanying their rhythmic body motion. If you watch kids, from all cultures, the first motion of rhythm is drumming.

I can recall one "frightening" African beat I listened to, on the radio, when we there was only black & white TV...
It made me sweat profusely, and made my legs want to dance to it.. and it added hundreds of powerful ancient thoughts to my thoughts....
