I was in an Indian store (like middle east, not native american) and they were playing some awesome music but I didn't ask what it was. I've heard some Indian pop music before and want to download some, does anyone know any artists I should look into?

I also kinda like Punjabi MC, but he's the only artist I know of.
I saw a Bombay Vikings video.. i laughed so hard I almost cried!

I like Bollywood, like Bride & Prejudice.. what are some artists names? Or a really famous artist in India?
i'm not as into the traditional stuff i've heard because i like it fast-paced.. like "mundian ton bach ke" from Punjabi MC.. i'm looking for artists with a sound like that!

If you want proper, traditional Indian music, start with Ravi Shankar.

to my knowledge most of it is bollywood soundtrack stuff, sitar music, and weird stuff,

the best 'indian' music ive ever heard is Bombay Vikings but theyre from Sweden or something, the guy is indian though

to tell you the truth..indian music really sux big tyme...and i aint lying..u can ask any indian himself...really....im from pakistan...and i have no GRUDGE agianst indians...but recenlty tehy have stolen more and more of our music!!

u know wat...try pakistani music...! its really much better than indian music..and i aint just saying it...it really is...thts why they copy ours...there are many sites u can download pakistani music...epakimusic.net is a gud egzample...and it wurks for both pakistani and indian songs....go to the main apge and browse over to the music tab...from there u can download movies...music...and lots more...try it!

Do you mean Bollywood music or the traditional Indian music? I prefer the latter. The ragas are pretty cool to listen while stoned.

if you are looking for indian songs, you can find them by the barrel

might i suggest bombay vikings.

most otheres are purely indian, but they have very deep meanings. try finding the translation on google. they mean a lot more than what most american song sare trying to say

You should buy some Indian movies! if you know what I`m talking about then I mean like: Govinda, Sharukan, Salman Khan
