Hi Everyone!
I'm new to the muzicforum crowd. I have been an active musician (mostly part time these days) for the last several decades. In my past I have played guitar in a bar band, handbells in handbell choirs, oboe with community orchestra/band/recital groups, written some tunes, sang here and there, jammed with many different musicians, and enjoy always keeping music in my life in some way shape or form.
I like to meet new musicians anytime, and always look forward to being introduced to new music, whether it is your own, or a band/singer that you are particular crazy about.
In order to spread the love of music and hopefully introduce someone or someones out there to new sounds in any number of musical genres, I created a music-related blog called, "
A Measure In Time" at:
I invite you all to visit my blog. It has been functional since July and I post every other day, so it is updated frequently and always a work in progress. Sometimes I discuss a CD I am listening to, or talk about lyrics, or even introduce you to someone out there who is contributing to the musical world in some way (could be you someday!). I welcome all readers, all comments, and any suggestions you might have for future posts. There is so much music to explore out there. Maybe I can introduce you to something you've never heard before, or you can enlighten me! All music-related topics are welcome.
I look forward to meeting many of you here. Any other oboists out there? I still consider myself an amateur player as I only began to study the instrument several years back.
Take care!
Sharon aka Musical1
