I suppose 17th post is a bit late for introducing but better late than never.
So good time of day, everybody!
Since it's music forum, i expect this thread indroducing my music tastes to be not out of place. )
So, notwithstanding my taste ranging quite widely, modern non-mainstream metal might be its most noticable part. To clear it up, i like some melo- and technical death (i dont stand traditional one), doom (except for stoner) and some gothic, prog, rarely black, pagan and artcore. I like some hardcore-influenced metal which metalheads (that no way do i claim to be) cannot stand. Some experimental stuff is also on this list.
But i wouldn't be here if metal was the only music i like. Quite often do i give a listen to some punk, most often it's classic hardcore like Minor Threat or Dead Kennedys. I used to listen to mainstream and i brought a few bands bands through (Rise Against, the Offspring...) Classic rock is also here, of course. Heavy metal (in specific, not general sense). Ambient. Some indie...
Well, i believe that's it. I'm not into grunge a lot (which is nothing but hardcore slowed down). The only music i cant stand is rap (including underground stuff) and anything narrowly commercialized.
To be honest, i've been into all this for like 1,5 years only. And so i have to say that my outlook in music other than metal is quite narrow but i long to expand it. Thus, i like jazz a lot but my knowledge about it is still next to nothing.
I hope i'll manage to contribute something to this forum and you'll keep on giving a warm welcome to such a potentially valuable member =D (yeah, i'm shy a bit
)
And i also hope you forgive my a little (as i naively suppose
) broken English since practising and maintaining it is another good reason why i'm here. That also must be a reason as to why i write so freaking long and annoying posts
