And I am bounding out into the world of music forums for two reasons.
Although they are both kind of related.

I just started a music promotions website called crunkbox.com.

So I am diving into music forums to both plug my site and also try and get familiar with a couple of boards - and LEARN about the online music community.

I do live in Austin, a town stocked with indie rockers and southern rockabilly style bands.. Yet - we at crunkbox also love and support hip-hop.

Most rappers are indie musicians that get shut out of the term for some reason. Therefore we gave the site a rap style name to represent that we are open to and support street chemistry sounds too.

So that's my deal..
I am an online music promoter.
I don't play an instrument but I can write an object oriented PHP class.

Cool and thanks for addressing the advertising issue so gently.

I basically got flamed by the moderator in another music forum for introducing myself and announcing what brings me to the music biz.

That makes you guys aces in my book and I will definitely look into advertising here!

I prolly can't take on any more projects unless they are really really interesting or profitable.

i have a project too but not programming , I love to be a programmer but i cant absorb the languages..huh!!!

PM is like private messaging - so that we aren't carrying on about technology in a music forum... I'm all ready sorta on thin ice anyway... You probably just click on my name hzane and look for the option to send a message or something..
