Shades of Grey? is on a distinguished road
Default Climax Blues Band

Man! I liked them, but all I've got is vinyl and a 'suitcase' record player. Hmmm....

Yeah I remember them I think ! of the guys in that band was in the Classics IV. It might have been "Duck" Dunn who was also in the Blues Brothers. I haven't thought of a suitcase record player in years

I always liked "Couldn't Get It Right", but other than that one song, I never followed them very much.

I remember this band

They have made a bunch of albums, and most of their popularity was in the UK. I remember them as mostly a pop band with love songs.

These guys ripped it up solid . But like most Blues artists they took no $hit froms record companies and well in those days that was suicide in the music business then .

I can tell you many stories of legendary musician/songwriter/singers who got it in the nads the hard way because they would not compromise their dignity .

Thanks for sharing.

It sounds to me like some of Beatles and Pink Floyd, which I thank because I miss those bands.

I am younger than them, but I don’t care about them being old.
I hate when somebody says “But that’s old!”... Who cares? The sound don’t change (except by recording quality, but that’s another thing).
You don’t hear 1492, 1492, 1492 when you hear a song. You hear the music.

Enough rant. I don’t like it just because they “are like…”. I like because I like. Don’t know why.
