call themselves the Blues to bette r reflect their region. Come on, Jazz isn't big in Utah...and their are NO Grizzlies in Memphis...Maybe Utah can call themselves the Summits or Golden Spikes and that Washington would've kept their name the Bullets. Teams need to reflect their respective regions!

There are also no bulls running the streets of Chicago. And when was the last time you saw a Knickerbocker in Times Square? Cavaliers have been gone for over a century, and as far as I know, were never in Cleveland. And I really doubt raptors ever wandered around southern Ontario.
i totally agree with you there man, new orleans jazz would be an awesome name. but the hornets kinda matches cp3 style a little...hes a little guy that kinda buzzes around and has a big sting...lol

I hear that man, i'm from washington and it kills me that we are the wizards now, and the new orleans hornets just doesn't make sense... but memphis blues, i'm sorry but the st louis hockey team already sniped that name and a unique name like the blues can't be worn in different sports.
