Thread: black blues group HELP!!!!!!

There was this black blues group that i used to listen to, about a year ago, it was in a friends car and i was enthralled, it was a band that made music around another black singer, hes dead, and i suppose it was like a tribute band, i want to say it was somebody 'junior' but this may be false, any suggestions as iv been racking my brains for this band for months? as soon as someone says it, it will click right away, but like i said it was a group that made music from the voice of a semi famous (or famous) black blues singer, any help would be extremely grateful
