Of course, it depends on how jazz is defined, although I doubt if the so-called "smooth jazz" albums should qualify.
Anyway, I'd have to agree that "Time Out" had to be one. Miles Davis' "Bitches Brew" may have hit the top five. Stan Getz in one of his Bossa Nova albums with Antonio Jobim is probably in there, as well. Certainly George Benson's "Breezin'". After that, I draw a blank.
BTW, newbie here, wondering if true jazz is dead...
