SiSkin is on a distinguished road
Default Jazz: something to begin with

Quite self-explanatory
I'm in search of a good jazz but it's hard to find anything without particularly knowing what you're looking for. So far i'm only a little familiar with free-jazz and explored the article in Wikipedia.

I'm curious to hear your advices

If you are just starting out SiSkin, then try some light jazz. Here are some that I know and like.

George Benson.

Return to Forever.

Chick Corea

Keith Jarrett

Stanley Clarke

Miles Davis.

Al Di Meola

Try some of these artists out and let me know what you think.

I didn't realize that Miles Davis would be classified as Jazz. I have never heard him perform, but I always thought he was like new style blues. Guess I was wrong

Miles Davis was a pioneer of Jazz music and a giant in the field. He was a major influence and did all kinds of experimental music with different genres, but his main body of work is definitely Jazz. Check out the bio here if you want to learn more. Miles Davis

There are a couple young crossover artists you should know about:

Jamie Cullum (jazz/alternative)
Shaun Barrowes (jazz/rock)

If you're only looking for instrumental or straight ahead jazz, you might not be into Shaun Barrowes, as he's got a different and new kind of jazz that he's pushing. But if you're open to different types, you should definitely check out both of these artists!

You might give Louis Armstrong and Quincy Jones a listen. Excellent Chicago jazz!
