Default Music Journal of TreesandSeas

i love all different kinds of music:

Indie
Rock
Pop
Hip - Hop -Some of it
Metal
Heavy Metal
Jazz

Some bands i can recommend:
Chiodos
Bright Eyes
Patrick Wolf
The Decaparecidos
Jimi Hendrix
Pearl Jam
Sigur Ros
Presidents of the United States of America
Coldplay
The Beatles
Under the Influence of Giants
Elliott Smith
Modest Mouse
Thrice
The Fall of Troy
Fall Out Boy

I have billions more. but check some of these guys out and let me know if you love them. i sure do.!

i'll pretty much go for anything.
UNFORTUNATELY, i do not like the kind of Rap where all they talk about is *** and boobs. It's really annoying to have to listen to the same thing over and over again. You know what i mean?
it's like, some of them do have real talent, but if some dont and they put there no talent to Rap, its just a waste of time and they shouldnt do it

In my defense though, I can relate to rap artist. Because i enjoy writing poetry, its a pass time for me.

More to come soon...

I'm with ya there. To me, Rap artists these days are overrated. Personally, I preferred the rap in like the 80's and stuff where it was clean and enjoyable. I don't know where it's come to, though, just some tough guys talking about their *** lives.

Not really. Compare:
'She Licks it like a lollipop'
'I love it when you flaunt it/time to give it to daddy nigger/now tell me how you want it'
If anything modern mainstream Rap is neutered down. Doesn't matter, there's still underground greats like Cannibal Ox and Aesop Rock.

Old school rap was better, but I'm not much of a fan of either era of hip-hop. I like rock and many different sub-genres of rock such as progressive rock, hard rock, blues rock and reggae rock.

sub genres of rock shouldn't really exist. it should just be all under the classification of rock. it'd be easier
i mean i understand that they sound different
but just call it rock. it'd be easier

I really like the idea of a music journal written by forum members. Hey, Under, can ya add a few recommendations to your journal, things we can possibly check out, things you listen to and like It's not like I want your life's secrets, just what you like to listen to!
