School, ACK! But what I wouldn't give to be back in those years. You may not know it, but this is the time of your life! Have some fun. Break some rules. Live life and see what you like and don't like. Just be responsible for what you do!

OMG my boyfriend and I were just talking about this the other day about how black people we knew used to make fun of rock music and the way people dressed and then now its cool to like some rock music and to "dress like white people do". ****ing poseurs. all those years of being called "white" or **** like that is annoying me cuz those same people are doing **** they were against like 5 years ago.

You know, Autumn, as you mature and get older, things dont seem to be a big issue anymore. You dress for comfort and style. You act the way you feel like acting. You listen to what music you like.

The point being, that when you are older, the pressures from peers to "act and behave" in a certain manner just dont exist anymore. People find other things to do with their lives besides try to tell their peers what they should be like or what they should do.

What I am happy about, is it seems this transition is happening to people at a younger age. Which means that racial profiling, and biggotry is becoming a thing of the past!!!!!! THIS IS A GOOD THING

I realize my American friends are fixated on the crowning of their next King, but we just had our election yesterday and nothing was accomplished. The conservative party(Republicans) won a few more seats but are still a minority government which means major policies will not get implemented for another 4 years or so. We have such a dearth of good quality people in leadership positions that Harper was the only real choice, but screwed up big time last week and lost his chance to gain full control over the agenda. I have almost lost all hope in any of our parties in Canada, they lie, cheat, embezzle and get away with it on a routine basis. We need a new way to govern our nation and a new way to run our economy the present model is doomed to fail eventually. There I feel a little better now.

Hello Applenux, it doesn't surprise me that someone from Europe knows more about what's going on in Canada than my American friends. The Liberals never really had a chance in this election, they chose the wrong leader and it was just a matter of whether or not the Conservatives won a majority government, which they did not, so we spent over $300 million dollars on this election for basically nothing, everything will be the same until this minority government either screws up or waits 4 years to call another election. There has to be a better way to run our country than what we have now, I almost wish we could separate and let the eastern provinces do whatever they like and we would do likewise. How are things going with Sarkozy as your leader?
